Trojan Football Alumni Club
John Wayne Memorial Scholarship
The Trojan Football Alumni Club has been proudly working with the John Wayne family since 1978 to offer this prestigious postgraduate scholarship to exceptional graduating football players at the University of Southern California who have completed their eligibility.
If no football player applies, this opportunity becomes available to any outstanding athlete at the university who is graduating and seeking to pursue postgraduate studies.
2018/19 TFAC President Robert L. Brown presenting the 2018/19 John Wayne Memorial Scholarship to this years recipient Chris Tilbey for his post graduate education.
Chris was USC’s starting punter in 2016 and served as a backup the past two years. He is USC’s first-ever football letterman from Australia. He received his bachelor’s degree in political economy in the spring of 2018 and is now working on his master’s degree in studies in law.
