A LETTER FROM ROB PRESTON TO THE TFAC FAMILY: Rob’s Angels, We want you all to know that daily Rob and I feel extremely fortunate for the out pouring of love, prayers, and support we continually receive. It’s an exceptionally warm and joyous feeling for us to experience and come into contact with such selfless people who are rallying for Rob’s life. We are incredibly humbled by the help and support and we want you to know we extend our deepest appreciation to each of you for lending us a hand. The ultimate challenge we’ve experienced through the diagnosis of Rob’s inoperable brain tumor is to surrender our financial misfortune and set aside our pride, and independence. Boy is that tough and difficult for me especially because my nature in this precious life has always been to give to others and not receive. Rob is an exceptionally strong man, what a true warrior he portrays. The day to day struggles of walking, falling, communicating, remembering, medications, headaches, chemotherapy, just all the symptoms of this brain tumor he accepts without a complaint nor of objection, his value for life and his faith in God shines through each and every day. The past three months Rob has had to deal with low Platelet levels which put him behind three Chemo treatments but as of last Friday we received word that his levels were just above 100,000 and we could immediately start treatment. He just completed his five days of Chemo and hung tough, now the challenge is to fight through the next ten days or so of being nauseated and limited intake of food. Rob also has been waiting to be approved for Physical therapy to help with his walking and to learn to get up when he falls. We did his evaluation back on June 3rd but to date Medi-cal (State insurance) has yet to come back with the go ahead to start, we are keeping our fingers crosses for the call. Please know your prayers and financial support is what keeps Rob going with his medical needs and keeps a roof over our heads. (This is truly a life and death situation). Our ongoing struggle is agonizingly stressful each month, not knowing if we will have the resources to pay rent and purchase medications. We are extremely grateful for all the help you provide for us in this dire time of need. Rob and I humble thank you for all your messages of love and support. We know we don’t stand alone, we have God and all you by our sides through Rob’s battle for survival… May God send forth a legion of Angel’s before you each day to provide his hedge of protection around you and your family that no weapon forged against you shall prosper.
